Get to know a little about me and my photography journey
I’m originally from a small town in PA and moved here in 2022, right after my husband and I got married. I love the Lord and strive to glorify Him in everything I do—including photography! I am definitely far from perfect and a work in progress, but I am so thankful for His grace and mercy. I believe everyone is created in His image, and each person is uniquely beautiful. My goal is for people to see that beauty when they look at the moments and images I capture. I also enjoy serving in my home church through singing and working with our youth. I’m absolutely obsessed with sunsets, iced lattes, Mexican food, and thrifting! And if I could have just one snack for life, it would definitely be chips and guac. You can never have too much guacamole, am I right?
As far as photography goes, my interest in photography started when I was around 10 years old when I got my first point-and-shoot camera. I would take pictures of the most random things and make my little brother pose for me to practice. Fast forward to when I was about 16, I got my first “big camera,” a DSLR, when I was asked to take pictures for a friend’s wedding. I began watching photography trainings, reading books on photography, and Googling away to get more serious about it and learn all that I could. Since then, my passion for photography has only grown. I used to stress about getting the perfect Pinterest shot, but now my favorite thing is to capture the sweet, in-between, genuine moments. While I still love some posed shots here and there, lifestyle shots are my favorite! I really want my clients to be able to look at their images and feel the emotions from that day.
One of the main reasons I’m so passionate about photography is because my mom passed away when I was young, and I don’t have many pictures with or of her. The few photos I do have with her are incredibly special to me and something I can cherish until I see her again one day in Heaven. This is what motivates me to capture special moments and memories for people to hold on to forever because sometimes pictures are all you have left to remember that person by. Life is short, so take plenty of pictures and make sure to prioritize getting those family or couple photos done that you’ve been putting off. You’ll be so grateful to have those memories to look back on!
